   I don’t generally fail to actually read all the product details before I order, but in this case, I trusted Amazon’s proclamation that this part was a fit for my 2004 Toyota Tacoma. If Amazon meant that it would fit in the glovebox, or fit on my keyring, they were dead-on, but if they meant it would actually work with my vehicle, not so much. I don’t blame Amazon. I don’t blame the fob manufacturer. I blame myself. When I came back to check the FCC ID of this device, I actually paid attention better and low and behold, my vehicle isn’t listed as a suitable vehicle for this remote. Of course, this was after I went through all the (clear and accurate) directions and was frustrated with why I couldn’t make them work.Don’t be like this guy. Get your manual (I bought the vehicle used so it didn’t come with a fob or a manual). I went to the manufacturer’s website, entered my VIN, and voila! On page 14 I find the FCC ID number I needed. Then I found the correct fob on Amazon and ordered it. I won’t be sending these back and I wont’ be saying anything negative about Amazon because it was my excitement at the ridiculously low price that let me be led astray. These will serve as reminders to read everything, trust nothing, and follow the correct procedures. I have no idea how many negative reviews originated from the same mistake I made, but how many of them would admit it? I have been wrong so many times, I don’t even get embarrassed, but if my experience can serve as a warning to others who may be excited by the price or trust Amazon to do the reading for you, then it was $10 well spent. Good day to you all and best of luck with your remote search. 3 stars for Amazon telling me it would work with my vehicle when it wouldn’t, but no more than that off since I do know how to read, so I should have verified it.

   Buy them NOW!Don’t listen to the trolls . These have AWESOME distance signal . I can open and unlock from INSIDE my house and even the stores .Took me all of about 2 minutes to sync 2 remotes up to our truck .For the price , you get more value all day long . 6 months later , they still work Flawless.Same batteries when bought new .These Rock !!

   Very easy to program (2001 Ford), range seems alright. Being hard plastic, it’s slippery. My only complaint is that the buttons aren’t recessed very much, and in a pocket, it will unlock/lock and set the alarm off easily.

   I struggled to sort through the multitude of these door lock devices after ours quit working AND the local dealer wanted $70 to fix mine. I forgot the actual price I paid here but was about $14 for two of the devices. Fairly easy to link to my truck with their directions AND You-Tube directions. Continued to work up to when I traded the truck in. I would go here if I needed another one!
