   I was recommended this JDM Squash Scent not knowing anything about how it was supposed to smell. Like most people I stupidly assumed it was supposed to be actual vegetable squash, like… gourds. But it’s actually a sweet candy-like citrusy fragrance that’s surprisingly pleasant. Citrus is one of my favorite scents and I enjoy it quite a lot. I’ve used other Chemical Guys products and had positive feedback so I figured I’d give this a go to get some of the funky smell out of my 55-year-old Pontiac. It definitely works to get rid of odors, but I imagine that it will take some repeated applications to eliminate or drown out all the funk that’s built up in that car.Some people are saying that this fragrance lasts only 20 minutes or an hour. That is far from my experience here. It was very pungent for the first few days and faded after about a week, but it was still very faintly lingering. I’d say that a weekly spritz would probably keep the fragrance at pleasant levels without being overwhelming. Sure, it doesn’t last forever, but those claiming it lasts an hour are exaggerating. At least in my experience.HOWEVER, the spray top on my bottle stopped working literally 2 pumps in. It will pull fluid up the straw, but won’t push it out of the nozzle. It just bubbles and sputters. I’d imagine there’s a piece of plastic clogging the mechanism somewhere. I stuck a different spray top on it and it’s working fine, but that was a bit of a letdown.

   The scent is not quite like the treefrog black squash smell as I thought. With that, it still smells good. This is the second chemical guys spray bottle that has worked for two sprays and then breaks. I just transfer the liquid into a Zep spray bottle.

   If you buy this expecting your csx3 classic jdm smell, you aren’t going to be happy, there is definitely an “irish spring” note that has been mentioned in many other reviews,that being said its worth picking up a bottle to smell. its not a bad smell its 80% or so accurate but has its own unique type of smell. id say you get more of the squash flavor, and less of the Ramune smell,i still will be buying my csx3s this spray works great for odor elimination, and that first day you can really smell it but day 2+ its effectively gone, so ill detail out my car, spray this, and then just tear open the wrapper of the refill which ill start smelling more the next few days when i take the wrapper completely off.

   Clean, cologne, candy like scent. It’s not close to those awesome Japanese air fresheners but it’s better than anything you can get at big box stores. Give it a try.

   the only issue I have with the product, is the storage bottle always leaks. this is the 2nd one I’ve bought and it leaks when sitting up right.

   This is exactly what I was looking for…. I wanted that Cherry spray from the car wash sent ….The one where you take the nozzle and you spray the carpets down after you vacuumed at a car wash this is that exact Cherry scent.. love it! Came upon this after I was looking for the money blessing spray in purple can .. kinda glad I wasn’t able to find it because I bought this when the other item in a purple can was not available..So glad i found this..I was able to find a spray hoping that it was going to be like the car wash scent and this is just that .. WOW.. smells so freaking goodAlso the packaging was really nice because it was sealed completely up so in case it were to dripped it would have stayed in the plastic .. but it did not.I’ll definitely be buying more of these when I start to run out can’t wait to start putting this scent on my curtains and chairs anywhere in my living room and bedroom this is the best scent ever oh my gosh.
