The compass literally does not work.. Even sitting still with no metal around it, the compass doesn’t face the right direction. How do you mess that up?

I should have realized when taking it out of the box, in pieces, that it wasn’t as great as the solid compass ball felt in my hand. The plastic parts snap together and are loose such that side to side rotation is easy, but up/down pivoting is so loose it won’t stay in position. Pair that with the fact that the compass itself is stuck in SSW position and, well, I’m hopeful it will come off the dash of my car without causing permanent damage.

Attached the compass to the dash of the car according to the directions. This compass never worked. According to it, it’s always traveling East. Don’t waste your money. I gave it as a gift, how embarrassing. They didn’t tell me about it not working until after the return window was closed.
