- 3. Finally, tear off the double-sided tape to fix the ball compass.

- Not all positions in the car are suitable for placing a compass, because all compasses cannot resist the interference of magnetic objects. Please find a suitable place in the car to place the compass.

First off, this is the best compass for the $ you can buy, others are far more expensive. I mounted this incorrectly and it impacted its ability to accurately tell direction. This was unknown to me at the time so I reached out. The seller was responsive, incredibly nice and very helpful. He corrected me on what I was doing wrong and asked I check to see if it helps. I got so busy with work that I wasn’t able to check for a couple of days. The seller took it upon himself to issue a 50% refund, maybe assuming things didn’t work out. This gesture is so kind, I had to leave a review calling it out. Now I have to buy more stuff from him as a thank you 🙂

This was bought to use on a WaveRunner PWC. I love the size of it, the ease of seeing it, the ease of interpreting the compass direction. However, even on a calm day as PWC’s ride the waves, the actual compass reading was spinning like a Gyro. The lake we are on has waves, and it’s very important to pay attention to the markers so that rocks are avoided. If you were use this for some thing where your vehicle doesn’t bounce around it’s great. It won’t work for us, unfortunately.

Attractive appearance and size. Six month warranty per the vendor. Overall, one of the better low-end compasses here. But because of electrical interfere in vehicles, buying any of them is throwing good money after bad and this one costing more than the others doesn’t help. Jumps around excessively while driving and direction is too inaccurate. Not illuminated so effectively useless at night. Even so, I’ve always wanted one of these and would still consider keeping it for half of what it cost since it’s better than nothing. Only real solution is spending a bundle on an OEM rear view mirror with a digital compass built in.

I put this on the dash of my Chevy Silverado and it works perfectly. Some people complained that it didn’t work properly. If I mounted it near a stereo speaker then no, it didn’t work and would just spin. I put it right in the middle of my dash on top and have had zero issues. It looks really good and appears well made. Highly recommend if you are wanting a reliable compass for your vehicle.

I was hoping this would be better. Small & compact. Easy to stick on the dashboard. But , doesn’t work. It’s stuck on S / W even when i know for sure I’m going N / E at times. Will be returning.

I could not get it to work in my car.

I tried placing this anywhere on my dash in 6 different locations and it never kept accurate directions. I did not send it back but I bought another brand that installed with no issues.
