I expected a light to come on when lifting the lid but what I got was a 4th of July dancing light show. Pretty and clever. Will have to remind myself to keep my eyes on the road and not the ashtray!! However, when it arrived the outer case had a large crack in it. (Amazon’s packaging has deteriorared lately). I chose to email this seller rather than returning to Amazon for the replacement because I had just returned TWO of the more expensive ones (different seller) because the light in both only came on briefly but wouldn’t stay on. I heard back from this seller the same day and had a replacement within 5 days. No charge and was even told to keep the cracked one which I thought was quite generous. It’s cracked but still functional. I’m loving the light show and am not at all disappointed in this less expensive (and entertaining) one. It’s refreshing to work with a responsive seller. I’m fairly certain I’m not the only one who has noticed that just about everything this past year has come wrapped in some kind of negative complication. If every business responded like this seller it sure would make life easier and a little more pleasant.

It can easily get dumped out but might get build up stuck in there and not much room to be able to get it completely cleaned it is very bright even during the day but not sure how to change batteries when it dies or how long until it does die it is a very thin plastic on top seems after opening and closing alot the lid might crack but not sure yet

Very nice ashtray, I only have two problems with it. The light stays on if the lid is open no matter what, I wish there was an off switch so I didn’t waste the battery! Also, the inside is very shallow, would need to be cleaned out often if you smoke a lot.

To small for my cup holders. Won’t stay attached to the vent. Has now fallen off 3 times. Dumping cigarette buts and ashes all over me car. What a mess. When it happens while driving it really sucks.

Upon first look Dash Tracy was beautiful it was very pretty and bright within a week the clips fell off the back of it and I could never find any of them And within the first few days late no longer work on it so that was the whole purpose of getting it so I could see it in the dark which I can no longer see it so they’re still ashes in my car

I have gone through about 12 light up ashtrays for my vehicle. With multiple issues.This one ROCKS!It makes it ridiculously easy to see in the dark.You may need to turn it a little so the lid partially blocks the flashing lights depending on your driving situation and location (seat versus where your cup holder or clip sits).The cup IS a little small, so empty frequently… but having two snuffer ports is really helpful to. Love it!
