I have used ceramic inserts as well as a comparison – these are much better. There are a lot of cute designs out there but I really like these for functionality and I didn’t want a design that stood out. These fit in the driver cup holders in the front. They did not fit in the rear passenger cup holders. That’s ok with me as I can use them in another car. I like that they have a lip to catch any spills. They can be washed or wiped clean as needed. Depending on the cup, the bottom will sometimes get stuck and pull out the insert. Not a big deal for me but good to mention.

It is a good product, you just have to know that ones you put it inside your cup holders your coffee cup is not going to fit the same way it used to, it makes the cup holder hole somewhat tighter because of the lips. I used to put my cell in the cup holder, now it doesn’t fit all the way down and falls off.

I knew the silicone cups work but wasn’t sure about fitting in my Honda CR-V but it does (front and back), easily! The good thing about these, is that they have a lip which is a lot better than a flat coaster. Any moisture that runs down a cup on a flat coaster will runneth over into your cup holder but with a lip, the moister stays in the product. Fits a Starbucks venti cup great or a paper cup from your fast food place. I only wish that they offered these in colors other than black! I also use one next to my living room chair. Not sure it will fit a large mug but it does fit my China cup.
