I got this door sill protector to go over the metal part on my BMW X7. It’s a brand new car and I didn’t want people to scratch the metal part. I think this will work great! It wasn’t super difficult to install, but takes time and patience. What I found to be helpful was to attach it at one end and then pull at about a 25° angle backwards using your other hand to flatten it. That seems to work the best to get the air bubbles out. I didn’t get all of them out, but it’s fine. I cleaned the sills really good with Windex before application. You definitely don’t want any dirt under the tape. It also comes off and does not leave a residue. I’m very happy with the product!

It worked out great I put it on my 32 Chevy door sill to protect the paint when getting in and out of the car, I did not want to use the old door sill plates that are to messed up..

Works fine, almost need 4 hands to install a 25 ” strip. Solution spray water mist to make it easier to maneuver, and squeeze water bubbles out.Right now due to the low temperature some water bubbles are still there, who cares once its scorching hot again problem solved.

It was not 90F, but I sort of hoped I could get this to shape to contours on my car. I’ll likely end up buying a precut piece for my trunk / hatch ledge protection.
