Cannot adjust it to fit my car cup holder. Tips from weight of upper cup when inserted.

I travel a lot, with long drives involved. Therefore, bigger bottles serve me better though regular cup holders don’t suit my needs. I had recently purchased a cheaper version of this cup holder. I was content but had to prop it in place with paper towels and it is cheaply made, so I thought I would try this one since it looked better. And it is better. It’s very well built (the other is all plastic, this has mechanical metal parts). It’s has expanding rubberized legs, holding it firmly in place within different sized cup holders (seen in my third photo). And for an added bonus it has a compass, because, why not. This cup holder is a win from my perspective.

Overall construction and function are fine. I have a problem in that the lower cup holder is not big enough for my smallest insulated water bottle. My goal was to be able to place my water bottle in the lower holder and another item in the upper holder, be it another bottle or a snack or whatever. Unfortunately, I can’t do that.

So I got this product because we were going on a road trip and an extra cup holder would be handy. Turns out it is a peace maker too. My kids are always bickering about who’s going to hold the snacks. Well now they don’t need to, turns out that the swing out arm opens up big enough to hold a bowl too. We put the snacks in there and problem solved. There’s a handy compass on it too, so my son was sure to make certain we are headed in the right direction. ????????

Got this for larger tumblers with a handle that did not fit in my cupholders. It locks into the cupholder well and the one that locks in works to elivate a cup if the base fits your cup or bottle since it is smaller than a standard holder once you lock it in. The swing out holder works well to accomodate a larger tumbler but it seems really unsteady when it is extended out and you hit a bump in the car with a large full tumbler in it. Just to update, since I was not completly satisfied with cupholder the seller 100% refunded my purchase. Great customer service.

Does any car ever have enough cup holders? I remember having a Suburban that had a cup holder that when you pulled the handle, a cup hold would slide out. It was a feature I messed as I find myself stashing everything from lipstick to keys to nail files and more in my cup holders. This device expands to fit snugly into the cup holder and then swings out to hold another bottle. Love it!

We have a padded seat for small dogs that slides over our console. It is great but he can lick anything that we put in our holders in front of his seat. These can put drinks, ice cream etc. far enough away that he can’t reach them. So far a large drink from pretty much any where will fit in these. Yep we bought 2. They were easy to adjust.

The concept is great. And they can be adjusted to fit in the cup holds with a bit of work. But the second/extended holder is very wobbly and does not hold anything secure.Would not buy again
