We bought this to take on a long road trip. We wanted to bring milk, cold cuts, cheese etc. available to eat along the way. The car fridge worked great. It was convenient that it came with both a car plug and a normal plug. We pre-chilled it-it cooled super fast getting to 35 degrees in less than an hour. When plugged into the car with the car running, it had no trouble keeping at a steady temp of 35-37. When we left the fridge off and inside the car to hike, up to 5 hours at a time, the fridge temp held nice and cool, not going over 42 even though it was a warm day. The fridge’s thermometer seemed accurate-we also brought a separate thermometer to track it. We did bring the unit into our hotel each night and even fully loaded it was not bad to carry-about standard for a fully loaded cooler and easily managed by 2 people. The handles are quality. The inside is spacious! We could fit a gallon of milk, several small water bottles, and ample fruit, veggies, cold cuts, cheese, butter, jam etc. The inside has a light-very nice feature-and a removable basket which was very handy for keeping delicate items like grapes so they don’t get squashed. The inside was easy to wipe down clean. Overall the dimensions were good-it fit well between the passenger seat and the middle row seat of our minivan. The toddler in the middle row has short legs so no issues there but don’t try the configuration with an older kid or adult. So over all it seems to be a great product. However, we returned it. On day 3, we had climbed to an altitude of 8000ft in the mountains and we noticed a thin line of what looked like insulation around the entire bottom edge of the unit. The “foam” appeared to be coming out where a seam was hidden internally because the finish of the unit does not have a seam. We wonder if the elevation change caused this issue, but we were taking no chances so we did send it back. We would buy the same unit again and hope it was a defect of our particular unit. Another thing to note is, even though the brand is called Colzer, we could not find this item on Colzer’s own website. The instruction manual is printed in what is obviously a foreign translation of English. We feel like this is perhaps not an authentic Colzer product. However by no means does it seem to be low quality and again, except for the insulation issue we would get this exact item again.

I have had no issues with my fridge. I have had it for 4-5 months now. And I have driven 50,000 in my semi. And hundreds of miles in my vehicle with it running at 35 degrees. I am a owner operator truck driver. So, when I go home and leave my truck down in the valley. I unload the fridge out of my semi into my truck. The weight is decently light in my opinion. And very quite. The only time you hear it is when the fan kicks into overdrive. And you’re not moving or have music playing. Otherwise, you’ll never hear it. I’m pleased with the capacity that is inside. However, I wish you could be able to move the divider to where you want it. I wish I could fit a gallon of milk with 12 eegs and a bag of hash browns. Instead, you can only fit half a gallon of milk, 6 eggs 2 cheese packets, 1 packet of bacon, and maybe a small packet of fruit. But, that’s it! No room for butter or any drinks.. or to thaw out a piece of meet… ???????? that’s why it gets 4 stars from me.otherwise I would of given it 5 stares. I hope my review helps you in you’re decision. Do I recommend it? Hell yeah I do! Best bang for the buck! No need to pay double the price for a top tear brand.

Super impressed with this fridge. Went from 80 degrees F down to -4 in 50 minutes. Temperature control seems to be accurate within a degree or two. What amazes me the most is how efficient it is. It only draws 3amps when the compressor is running and only ran my camper batteries (235ah capacity) down about 5% at night when set at 38 degrees. I have a solar array on the roof to keep the batteries charged during the day.Have only had it on one camping trip so far, but I couldn’t be happier with at this point.My only gripe is the plastic protective film that comes on all the metal parts is very tedious to get off. It looks like each piece was covered before the unit was assembled and it’s impossible to get all the film out of the seams, I spent about 30 minutes getting it as good as I could.

Works fine if you enhance the seal as I did by going to a hardware store and buying door seal with adhesive aply over existing seal and then taping it shut for weeks to seat the new seal. I may have to add some velcro straps as well. I should not have to do this. they should have a simple latch and a seal that is effective. But otherwise the unit works as a freezer and this is a spare for my van and it fit the space I had to work with so it gets 3 stars
