Sam –
I only got one key with my used car and it was cracked and scratched up. I wanted to have a backup for when it finally wore out. I was wary getting any off brand keys online and wanted to go through the dealer, but then I found this two pack of keys and decided to try them out. I was also a bit worried I would have to cut the keys in order to program them, which would mean I may not be able to return them if something went wrong. They programmed within SECONDS and although they didn’t come with written instructions, they had an easy to navigate website where you selected the make and model of your car and even a quick video for how to program them! This is the first time I’ve purchased a replacement car key and am VERY impressed.

I ordered these knowing I would have to call a locksmith or take it to the dealership to be programmed. So I called a locksmith that said it wouldn’t be a problem. They were able to cut them so that I can unlock the doors but the fobs wouldn’t program. I still had to pay them for their time. They spent several hours. Now I still have to go to Ford Dealership. They checked the FCC code and what I showed them I ordered was correct. They said that the ACU had a block on it evidently.

These replacement fobs are exactly like my OEM Ford key fobs with one exception, the buttons are wayyyy too sensitive. I can’t put this key in my pocket with anything else unless I want to lock, unlock or sound the horn alarm. Would not recommend.

Works on my 2006 F-150 SCREW. Took to Ace Hardware to cut the keys and I was able to program the chip and FOB on my own. Range on the FOB is minimal at best, but a decent replacement for my broken original keys.

I cut the keys with my dremel in the garage(I don’t recommend this if you are impatient or have unsteady hands!). Used a obd2 to usb adaptor connected to laptop with FORScan and easily programmed both of them(I only got one original key with my work truck.) Now I don’t need to worry about locking the truck while its running or losing one. I’m not sure the range is quit as good, but I’m ok with that. I’m very happy with these. Saved me alot of money versus going to locksmith or dealership.

Battery was dead in one key. I purchased a new battery but the fob only lasted about a week

They worked like the original!
B. Phillips –
These keys worked perfectly! The cost of the keys and having them cut/programmed at the dealership was $140, compared to the $600 that the dealership wanted for theirs.
