I would have given it only 2-stars when I originally purchased it – because the fan was noisy with a bit of a chattering/vibration sound. But I decided to take off the vent on top, and put bathroom caulking (acrylic/latex with silicone) and fill the area around the fan, under and covering the electrical connections. (make sure you don’t get any on the fan apparatus itself that could prevent it from spinning). Then I put caulking on the vent rim and put the vent back in. I waited for everything to dry, and turned it on. It was totally quiet. I’ve taken it on two trips so far and had it filled up completely – it’s proved to be very rugged and it really does keep things cool – especially if you use it in conjunction with frozen gel packs (which were still mostly frozen after a recent 3-day summer trip.)

This item is Almost Perfect. The handle of the item lasted only few days. While carrying, the handle it broke of its sides. Therefore it’s left you holding the item with both hands and with the drinks inside, it’s pretty heavy. Maybe having a straps to carry on shoulders probably would have been way better. I gave this item 4 stars bcuz the handle latches broke of from the weight of my drinks..

Great price , like the size, I just wished it had a temperature control. Update: I should have payed a bit more for the temperature control one. You must have cold food to put in it , cooler keeps cold but does not get it cold.

If you put stuff from refrigerator or freezer it keeps it really cold. It does serve the purpose while traveling. You don’t need ice. If you want food to stay really cold, you would need to put ice pack. The best part is it has both settings cooling and heating. I found it useful. I would recommend it.

this is a great size and just what I wanted. Unfortunately the power cord for car power does not work.
