Replaced the battery in a key fob for a 2007 BMW 335i. The +/- leads line up with the circuit board nicely. However, the wider lead has a flare that is wider toward the base of the battery which prevents the battery from sitting flush to the circuit board since the lead becomes wider than the pcb hole. It’ll work and fit the case if left alone but the nitpicky me wanted it perfect so I filed it down so the battery fit flush.Just be aware, you should have basic soldering & desoldering knowledge/tools.

I am tired of misleading ads and misleading descriptions. Yes, buried in the listing is quantity 1, so yes, technically my fault, but in reality I thought for the high price and pictures carefully staged, I was getting 2. But no… gee thanks Amazon. The battery seems to work in my bmw e39 remote, so yes, I kept it and installed it with my s iron, and let it ride to my stupidity vs returning it when I only got 1 for $14. Just what the vendor strat was of course…

I am using this battery in a BMW key fob. I am not an expert on these things but my old battery had a 2.92 volt charge and it would not operate the locks or truck anymore. I de-soldered and soldered in the new battery and it worked like a charm. I ordered as second one as well to do the other remote. The brand I got says Panasonic even though the brand said differently in the description.

My son got this for his 2008 BMW key fob which stopped working because of a dead battery. He took out the circuit board, which was hard because he had to cut out the side and use a screw driver to pry the thing open, and then he had to take out the old battery, which also was hard because he had to use a soldering iron. But you just heat up one pin, and when the metal softens, use a screwdriver to pull out the pin, then do the same thing for the second pin. After you get it out, the new one fits in where the old one came out. Soften up the solder with the soldering iron, then push the pin through the hole. Do that for the other pin/hole, and that’s it. The battery is permanently in place.

Worked as expected and would buy this again. If you have the same key fob as me, just be aware that opening the fob isn’t easy. I nicked mine up enough that I just bought a replacement case for under $15 on Amazon.Note that this battery doesn’t just plug into the fob circuit board. I had to solder my old one of and solder this one on. Easy if you’ve ever soldered before. If you haven’t ask a friend for help.

Did not work for me, I can’t pinpoint the reason why but the multimeter read the voltage at 2.8V instead of the advertised 3V
