Both of my factory fobs were wearing out. One almost never opened the doors; the other would work if I opened the sliding door, but usually not just the unlock button. I went to the dealer. Their price for each fob was $191 plus $75 to program them. That’s nearly $500!!! I called a locksmith, they wanted $125 to program fobs and I had to buy them somewhere online. The catch is that you have to pay the programming even if the fobs are defective! Plus, if they go bad (and what do you expect from a 2/$25 fob?) you have to replace them and pay programming again. I saw the Simple Key device in another Amazon review for a key fob (I was reading reviews to buy ones that didn’t break right away.) I chatted with the guy from Tom’s Key and found out that the item was guaranteed or I’d get my money back. So, I purchased it. For my car there was no activation for the fob, and the programming was simple – I just had to follow the simple instructions. The fob that came with it programmed easily and I programmed a second one that I had from Amazon. Now I’m back to 2 working fobs!!! Plus, if one goes bad, I can reprogram another without paying $75-125 again! A good deal for me!!!

I bought a Dodge Grand Caravan used with only 1 key. Replacement keys are easy to program if you have 2 functional keys. So I thought I was stuck going to a dealership to get a key made (guessing it would be $250+). Then I found Simple Key.Yep, sounds like an Infomercial. Had my hesitations but the kit with a key fob was a little over $100 (about $45 of that was the key fob itself) so I decided to take the chance.Watched a video (before buying) to see how easy it was and it looked pretty easy. Just went out and in about 5 minutes, programmed the key fob to the vehicle. The hardest part was not knowing where the ODBII port was so I could plug it in while the vehicle was running, all the doors were closed, and the hazard lights were on (Per the instructions). The second hardest part was being anxious that it wouldn’t work. Now, I have a programmer that will work (only for this particular vehicle) and all I need to do is buy more fobs if needed. Just wish they made one of these for the year model of my son’s car

I couldn’t be more pleased cause i locked my keys in my car last week and I didn’t have a spare. had to wait an hour+ for AAA to show up. not anymore though. I checked with the Chrysler place and they said it would cost about $450-$600 bucks for another key they had to program, etc !!! Buncha rip off artists. so i looked for an alternative and this was it. $100 bucks. I was skeptical but i watched a video on youtube and followed the teeny tiny instruction book. Worked like a charm. Now I have a spare which my dealership promised but never delivered when i bought the car. why do dealerships completely forget about you after they get your money? anyway, buy this key. It works as advertised. It’s not as cheap as getting a key cut like the old days, but cars aren’t made like that anymore. highly pleased with this purchase and you will be too. Big thumbs up.

Okay, compare the cost of this device with what the car dealerships are charging to replace a key fob. This saved me around $400 – $500. Read the instructions, then read them again. Timing is key. I even wrote the instructions out so I was well acclimated with what needed to be done once I got in the vehicle. Everything worked just fine…vehicle started with the new key fob, power locks worked, and the panic alarm worked.I think the price will go up once people realize the device works for the stated vehicles it lists and the company sees that sales are increasing. I hope they can keep the price down, so as to maintain a competitive edge with these car dealerships who overcharge for key fob replacements. So it’s worth it folks. For the money, it seems like fair game.

It was a greater value to purchase this item than to go to a car dealership to have them program an extra key fob for my vehicle. I have other vehicles within the same range same make and model that makes it convenient for me to make additional copies of key fobs for the vehicles in my fleet. Be careful to order the one that works for you. As there are different ones. Consider 285 dollars for the dealership to make a key versus the price of buying a blank fob and this device. You must have a key fob to duplicate a key fob. Fantastic value!

It was easy to set up once you read and watch a video on how to program the keyFobs but remember you got have one working key on the vehicle you are programing in order to work and the simple keys people emailed me to see if I had any questions or problems programming key so I recommend this product but remember you need a working key fob in order to work. I recommend to watch the video are up loaded to get an idea on how it works. It worth the value and costs then going to the dealer or going to lock Smith to program keys and go any hardware store or any place to have the key cut that cuts keys so recommend it.

My key fob started to mess up on my 2016 ram. So before it stopped working altogether I thought I’d get a new key fob online and let the dealer install it. Of course the dealer didn’t want to do that because they claimed they couldn’t guarantee the fab would work so they wanted me to buy one which was 400+$ and wouldn’t be here until mid January 23. So I was looking at YouTube on how to program key fobs and stumbled on simple key. Went on Amazon read some of the reviews especially the bad ones almost didn’t get it but I took a chance. It took me a minute when I read through the instructions because I got the instructions mixed up but after the 2nd try Eureka! it worked for me works great!!JW

Programming was super easy, I programmed this key and a two pack of 6 button keys for my 2013 grand caravan without issue, three keys for ~$140 when the dealer wanted over $200 for one! 100% would recommend.Only note, directions said something about waiting for a blinker light at the start when you hood some buttons down/push buttons to ‘activate’ the new key. Keys didn’t have a light or at least not that I found. This didn’t impact my ability to program the keys, so overall a non-issue.
