I can’t speak to how long it might work, but on my 3.5 week trip west it worked perfectly. The temperature does move up and down some, it appears to allow varying of 3-5F up or down sometimes, but setting it at 36 worked well for me. It worked fine on DC while I was driving and on AC when stopped, in outside temps that varied from 80-100 during the day and maybe 60 at night. I found it quiet enough that I didn’t really notice it, though any kind of humming or white noise doesn’t tend to bother me, so I’m not the best to say. It is built sturdy and solid, and has good insulation (I could stop for lunch in a restaurant for 30-45 minutes and when I started up again it had only warmed up a bit). Oh, and it worked about the same whether nearly empty or full to the brim.

We just finished an almost 6,000 mile summer road trip in which we had medications that had to be kept between 58 and 77 degrees. This was the answer. (The top temperature to set it was 68 degrees.) We used our cigarette lighter while traveling and then our portable battery charger when doing stops during the day. At night we could then plug it into the AC.I kept a refrigerator thermostat in the medicine bag to be sure we were staying in the right temp. zone. It worked like a charm even in 100 plus temp.Upon returning home I have used this so I could do multiple grocery store stops in one outing.My husband was a doubter when I first got this because of the cost. Now he thinks it was a great buy.

I did not have high expectations given I had never heard of this brand before. But I am pleasantly surprised. It more refrigerator than cooler, because it will cool to a specified temperature instead of cooling X degrees below the ambient temperature. It doesn’t make any noise (that I have heard), and it must be energy efficient because I have it plugged in to a 12V socket that is live all the time, and even after several days of not using the car there is no draining of the battery. I’ve had for three months now, and am very satisfied.

This thing is awesome! I use it in my Ford Fusion to keep water cold during the week. Set to 34 degrees with battery monitor on medium. Standard battery and the car starts fine in the morning and the fridge is still cold.

Used this on a trip cross country this summer. Worked great. In the back seat. On low setting which is mostly what we used it was quiet. On high there is a low buz, but not above road noise. Not a problem. On high it cools down very fast, on low stayed cool.

I bought 2 different model and brands of what appeared to be the exact same unit. This one lacks any wireless control (mobile app) option but has a great auto-lock option on the controls to prevent accidentally changing settings when groping behind the car’s seat to retrieve a beverage.Pros:Cools down really quick, like in 15 minutes you have ~35 degrees F.Relatively quiet for a compressor driven unitCons: No wireless mobile app support. (The other unit I bought (sold by AAOBOSI) has wireless mobile app support, but doesn’t offer a reliable control-lock feature).
