The instructions say that it won’t work if it’s too near metal, which is true. But my car is made of metal, so there was no where I could put it. It always pointed the same directions no matter where I was going. It didn’t attach to the dashboard, which is where I need it to be in order to see it when I’m driving (not on the windshield as was recommended).

It’s terrible.The compass does not move when it’s rotated, even when away from all magnetic interference.It didn’t work in my truck, figured the speaker magnets were throwing it off. Took it to my back yard away from all metal object. It just points SW no matter which way you turn it. Total junk.The suction cups are sort of crap also. You have to use the included double stick tape to make it stay in place. As I threw it away out of frustration, I now have double stick on my dash board.So disappointing. You get what you pay for.

No matter which direction that I drive the COMPASS always points north. It is a DUD! Would not recommend.
