Bought this for my 48 volt Club Car golf cart. It works perfect, easy to install with the correct size hole saw bit. Four stars because the ad says it’s an aluminum body when it’s actually plastic. The plastic body still works fine I don’t have a problem with it but aluminum would be more sturdy. Second issue is it does not report fast charging on my Samsung Galaxy Note 9. Unsure if it’s actually fast charging or standard. In any case it is charging and working fine.

Pretty easy install . I wired mine to the positive (+) ignition switch terminal for one lead and the other to the negative terminal on the headlight switch for power so that the meter on the USB charger is on or off with the ignition switch . The downside is that there are no instructions in the box otherwise this is a good item with an accurate state of charge battery meter for a fair price.

There is no need to run the wires back to the batteries. Connect the red (+) wire to the non “hot” side of the key switch. Find a ground connection close to the switch (usually a black colored wire) and connect the black (-) wire. This way the meter/ device only operates when the switch is in the “on” position. Pictured is with key on and key off. Took me about 20 minutes to install.

I like the fact that it is small and comes with the wire harness to hook it to my key switch.

This is perfect for monitoring my 48 volt ebike battery on the go. Being able to charge my phone is just a bonus. Good stuff. Terry

Installed on a Yamaha g29 48v electric cart. Checked against a good multimeter (and fed via a direct tap to the battery pack) it was within 0.2v, which is certainly close enough. With 4 Trojans it will hit almost 60v while charging and no ill effects. I’d be nice to have a usb-c version that supports PD, the Qualcomm QC standard is becoming obscure at this point so anything I plug in charges at normal 5v, but for an electric cart that’s fine as can just leave it “on” even when not driving so charge speed isn’t that big of a deal and fine for top ups when needed. The voltmeter is nice to have to compare against the battery bar gauge.

I like this allot. Like the blue light it’s way better than original power meter. Plus two USBs Just drilling through the panel without a metal step up is a pain fyi
