This product actually my second time purchasing it. I actually really liked it the only reason why I remove the first one that I had installed which by the way was really easy to install just try to make sure and measure out how many pieces you actually need to cut and don’t try to do one door first and then go to the other doors actually try to just split the tape accordingly to how many doors you need to cover that was my first mistake the first time I I had applied I did one door and didn’t have enough for the other door so just have that in mind before actually it’s really is to cut. Use a mallet or like some type of a hammer that’s not too hard where it’s going to damage the paint on the door would be really nice. So yeah this is my second time purchasing the reason why I actually remove the first one was that where you actually cut there’s still some metal showing through the ends and I do wash my car sometimes it does rain so on those little metal parts that show through they started Rusting and I didn’t like the way that they were looking so I actually took them off and that’s why I re-purchased and let them again this time I did cut them into four equal parts and I applied them to all four doors I only applied them for the areas that when you open the door will actually be able to hit something so like the very top portion of the door I really don’t cover it’s more of the bottom areas where like the windows are those areas are the ones that usually welding a door and a wall or anything else it’s really nice cause I actually park near our carport so we do have walls on both sides and even when my kids open the door it’s actually a safe without having to worry about getting any more things you will still get more things from other car just because they don’t have these but I always recommend these these are really nice easy to install and I’m very happy with them.

I’ve used several different door guards in the past, glue along edge, 3M strips along the edge, and these are probably the easiest to install. Keep in mind, these are meant to be SEMI PERMANENT door edge guards. They are not really meant to be put on, then removed, and put on again, unless you’re going to replace them with something else. These are basically small metal U-clips, along the whole guard, encased in soft rubber or silicon. The way these stick to the door is you are pushing these u-clips into the doors along the length of the guard. Because the clips are metal, they may go through the rubber and scratch your car paint, but it’s under the guard, so you won’t see it. IF YOU REMOVE IT, then you will see it. However, why would you install these and then remove then again, if they don’t tall off? These install fairly tight, and unless you snap them or otherwise pull them, I don’t see them falling off by themselves as others have said happen. The install requires you to remove one clip from each end once you’ve cup them, as they would be exposed metals. Once you remove the end clips, there is only a small amount of rubber at the end so the next metal clip is not exposed and you won’t cut yourself.I take a star away, but it’s not as easy as adhesive guards that just press in. This does take scissors and a plier to pull the clips. However, I know these should stay on longer than the adhesive types.

We ended up using this product on a handicap scooter to make the bottom platform edges smoother (which are super hard plastic) so that it stopped causing injury to the top of the foot and toes. So far, it works great!!! So versatile!! Thank you!!

I am using this door guard for both of my cars, and it’s good for car door protection. Only one thing, when you do the installation, you have to prepare heavy-duty scissors, and a pair of working groves.

This Syoauto Car Door Edge Guards is very good. I was searching for a card door edge guard back in the summer. There were many competing products. This one was an Amazon’s Pick plus it had a lot of good reviews. So I took a chance to buy this product. And I am happy with the purchase. It was easy to install. I only needed to use my thumb to push the guard into my car’s door edges. As far as tools are concerned, I only needed a pair of scissors. It was easy to cut too. I just follow the U mark on the black plastic and the cut was easy. Here are a few photos of my newly installed car door guards. They look good in my book.I would recommend this product to friends and family, and I would repurchase it.

Easy install if you have a rubber mallet or similar (I did). It looks like it will do the job. It also looks like it will stay put. It look decent, but is noticeable if you are aware of it.I’m a little nervous that if I wanted to take it off later on it might take some paint with it.This is composed of a series of very small metal u shaped clamps (? the right term) sheathed in plastic. The topmost clamp (exposed) seems to be developing a little rust after only a month or so. I don’t think that this will interfere with the utility of the product, but I’m not super happy with the fact. I have no idea how the ones further down are doing. I suspect that they are OK since they are better covered in plastic. For me I couldn’t cut the thing without exposing at least part of the top clamp. Maybe it is possible.

The edge guards are very easy to install. Either apply enough pressure with your thumb or use a mallet to put the stuff in place. The only thing you need to be careful about is cutting it – I ended up using a pruning shear to cut through the metal.
