This tire depth gauge works perfectly. The depth stays locked in for you to read it. Other reviews that claim it slides easily and does not stay locked must be for a different model. Both of the gauges worked perfectly. When measuring a flat surface, the gauge reads zero, so I’d say it is accurate. The line placement to number is a bit confusing. But once you take the time to work your way up from zero, you can figure out which line is associated with which number.
