Steve –
I just got this and installed it today. I was nervous ordering because there wasn’t enough info about it in my opinion but went ahead because of the price and amount of footage. This product is a soft pliable rubber with a semi-flat finish. It is narrow which means it has a very low impact on the look of your car. The black flat finish and small profile makes it blend in with the natural black shadows and spaces between your doors and the body of your car which means it shouldn’t stand out with any color of car. It’s very pliable and will go around a 90 degree angle easily without bunching. It has a spongy feel which makes me think it will add enough protection to keep your paint from chipping if swing your door into those concrete bases at the bottom of gas pumps when pulling up close.Installation was fairly easy but you shouldn’t rush it. The “stickum” (not permanent glue) rubber adhesive grabs quick which prevents it from going all the way on unless you continually push it in with the palm of your hand. Make sure the lines are straight as opposed to wavy. Easy enough. Run the trim along your door line and cut off before applying and give yourself a few extra inches to play with and trim off excess when done.I can’t speak for longevity or how it will hold up in an automated car wash but feel confident it will die the adhesive.Pictures attached are 1) No trim. 2) With 3) Standing back with trim on.I withheld a star because I have to see how it holds up.

I just installed this today and was very impressed. I previously used a version of this product by another manufacturer which had metal inside of it and wasn’t “self-adhesive.” That was insanely difficult to fit, cut, and install. This, on the other hand, was a breeze. Find the end that works for the side of the car you’re on, peel some of the backing off so there’s something to hold it in place, leave the backing hanging so you can pull it later. Then run the rest down the door as though you’re installing it for real. Find the place to cut it, do so, then put the end back in place. Last, pull the hanging end of the backing to remove the rest and press down firmly. The adhesive is 3M, so I’m expecting great results over a long time. The previous product left a nasty rub mark on my doors. Even if this leaves sticky residue, it should be easier to remove.Update:So I’ve had this on my Atlas for 10 months now. I’ve only had to replace it on one door, but that’s the door one of my kids closes often and I’m sure they grab the guard every time; heck, I’ve caught myself doing the same. This is definitely not designed for repetitive pulling.Other than that, I’ve also put it on my wife’s Forester and it’s been solid for several months.I think all the 1 star reviews are from people who didn’t follow the directions. Your door MUST be clean! You MUST press this down. Also, for the price, EXPECT to replace it occasionally. It’s not permanent! You get more than 30ft for crying out loud! That’s enough to do all 4 doors of my Atlas twice and the 4 doors of the Forester. When I run out, I’ll definitely buy again.

Very small hard to get over lip on garage seat tool tray ! If you get this made more for thin edge do not remove backing from adhesive until you have in on lip then carefully remove it ???? Good Luck !

These went on easy, and worked well. Unfortunately, after four months, they began to fall off. The double sided tape stayed bonded to the vehicle, but separated from the edge guard.

Not very sticky will fall off in less then a week

Fit my Jeep 2022 Cherokee with no problems. It is difficult to get the adhesive tape off to start. Once started pushing it onto the door skin takes a little patience but it is worth it.

Easy to install but if anyone else doesn’t listen and grabs the door edge to close it, don’t expect this stuff to stay on long as the tape that comes on it sucks
