I wanted a more eloquent mounting solution for my turbo gauge (had been in the headlight switch socket) and was adding an A/F gauge as well. The custom made dual gauge pods for my Saab (’99 9-3) are well over $100, so I went this route instead. The problem in my particular case is my A-pillar is has an extreme, sharp angle (I’d guess about 120º) and is quite narrow (about half the width of the gauge pod, so I had to do a LOT of trimming and shaping the thing with a heat gun. It honestly came out looking like something from a Salvador Dali painting (think “melting clocks”), but that’s not really the fault of the gauge pod, more the fault of my oddly shaped A-pillar. It looks fine from the driver’s seat, which is all I care about, the angles of the gauges are perfect, the gauges don’t overlap (I’ve seen this in other cars). My ultimate goal is to cover the whole pillar/gauge pod with bondo or a similar sculpting clay and then Plasti-Dip it (I already Plasti-Dipped both a-pillars so the black gauge pod didn’t stick out like a sore thumb against a tan A-pillar… I love Plasti-Dip :D). I test fitted this on other cars in the household (F-150, Grand Am, 9-5, 9-3 Sport Sedan) and it looked like it’d be a lot easier to work with on a “normal” A-pillar.

Says it will fit all vehicles and models but this is an A piller off a 2004 jetta mk4 and it seems like it’s a bit big. Going to try and heat the edges to get it to fit. Can’t beat the price and seems to be pretty good quality. (Ignore me bad fabric paint job)

The pod holder looks and feels fine but not really “universal”. I’m trying to install this on an 02 Silverado and there is absolutely no way this could be molded or stretched wide enough to even come close to fitting. Maybe it could fit a variety of civics or something with smaller A pillars but not my 2500 duramax.

The gauges fit in tight so setting the desired gauge angle is great before installing the gauge mounting brackets. Plenty of room to mount required tubing and electrical wiring so a plus to that. I had to heat the forward part of the housing and bent it tighter to fit the pillar cover better but still not 100% happy with fitment. If the housing had beveling on the back side of the flange areas it would help with tighter fitment and more flexibility with mounting. If I get another one I may try beveling it to help with the fitment.

Easy to use for any application, basically a univeral fit with the ability to trim it down to fir

Had to ise a heat gun to shape it to fit the A post on my 2005 GMC.
