So I bought these for my 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 Pickup because in the description it said I would be able to program them myself. The description stated they will work for year 2009. It didn’t work. I contacted the place they give you on the package when you get them in the mail and the customer service rep said they will not. Said I would need to take them to a dealer or locksmith. Most dealers don’t want to mess with after market parts. I am hoping a locksmith will be able to get them going. No big deal, they were only 26 bucks for two of them so it was worth a try.Update: I got a locksmith that came out to my house and programmed them in less than 5 minutes and they work. Locks and all. It cost me $100 for both and they cut the keys for free. I just took my key from my old fob and stuck in the new fob. So if you don’t mind paying a locksmith they are worth it. I checked around to get a price on a new fob and it would have been over $200 a piece. I spent 126.00 for both.

2 weeks after I bought my new 2011 Dodge Ram 3500 I returned to the dealership with both keyfobs because they were sketchy. Sometime they worked first try and sometimes I would have to tap and squeeze them to get them to work.They replaced them and those lasted a month and started again. Dealership was no help because it’s a bumber to bumper 12 month warranty but keyfobs are not included.Fast forward 11 years and 120,000 miles of fighting them and one finally quit. I ordered these and paid $40 each to a locksmith to program them and they work famously! I was going to just swap the rubber key pad because the original fob has little suction cups under each key to complete circuit when pushed and one fell off. New one has metal spring cups over connections that pop down when pressed and complete the circuit so no pocket lent or moisture can interfere with connection.Great so far and a much more positive click when pushed.

Looks almost the same, a little lighter. It came with batteries and after going to batteries plus to program it, it worked perfect. It was about $70 for them to program 2 fobs. Lock, Unlock and remote start all work.
